Let’s Mongo Inc., Moorpark, CA, has launched Tomandote, a line of Hispanic-inspired, ready-to-drink RTD teas by entering what it believes to be an unexplored area of the RTD tea market with an innovative bottle.

The tea marketer uses Amcor PET Packaging’s 16-oz, longneck PowerFlex™ PET bottle, which is filled and labeled by contract packager H.A. Rider & Sons.

Frank Ruvalcaba, Company Director at Let’s Mongo, says Tomandote came about to introduce a RTD tea, based on traditional Hispanic formulas, to the marketplace. After the company discovered a range of tea flavors using all-natural ingredients that tested well with consumers of all ethnicities, in all age categories, the next step was finding the right bottle. Let’s Mongo selected Amcor’s PowerFlex bottle for its teas, which are hot-filled. The bottle features a patented panel-less design with a large, smooth label panel.

The Tomandote brand complements the bottle’s smooth lines with a clean label design. Color-coded graphics support the initial three-flavor launch: Lemongrass (Te de Limon), Mint (Hierbabuena), and Cinnamon (Canela).

Initial product launch is occurring in convenience stores, grocery stores, and service stations in California, Washington state, and Texas.
