The bottle and label work together in positioning the Aloe Breeze beverage line from Phoenix Beverage Co., Phoenix, AZ, as “the first USDA-certified organic drink line that harnesses the power of super-nutrient aloe vera and infuses it with exotic, naturally flavored waters.”
The dome-shouldered PET bottle gives the bottle a glass look and heightens perceptions of a quality product. Phoenix Beverage selected Amcor PET Packaging’s stock bottle, which allowed the company to launch Aloe Breeze quickly without incurring additional tooling costs. The hot-fillable bottle’s panel-less, rib-less design features a straight wall that absorbs vacuum via a specially designed base. Because there are no sidewall panels, the bottles are easier to accurately label, giving Phoenix Beverage the pure look it desired.
The transparent polypropylene label, designed by Packaging Arts, is UV flexo-printed in eight colors, and its “fruit-forward” design accentuates the beverage’s organic purity.
Rounding out the package is a 38-mm plastic closure from Alcoa Closure Systems International.
“We wanted to showcase purity and clarity, and we think this bottle helps us achieve that,” says Brad Holmes, Phoenix Beverage President and CEO.
Phoenix Beverage is introducing the brand in national health food stores. A 16.9-oz bottle carries a suggested retail price of $1.79.
