From fabric and skin care to energy drinks, new packages communicate what the product does
Mintel’s Global New Products Database cites several products that have recently come on the market. Each product’s packaging spotlights the product benefits.
For young active adults who are too busy for their daily glass of milk comes Sport Shake, from Dairy Farmers of America. The shake’s ingredients include skim milk, sugar, cream, mono- and diglycerides, sodium tripolyphosphate, cellulose gum, and carrageenan.
The milkshake is marketed as a meal supplement and a pre- or post-workout drink. It provides long-lasting energy to promote an athlete's performance prior to physical activity or as a way to replenish energy balance afterward.
To cement the association with energy drinks, Sport Shake comes in an 8-oz slim, two-piece aluminum can with a ring-pull closure. The brand’s energizing graphics are litho-printed on the aluminum surface.
The shelf-stable shake is certified as a kosher product. It comes in the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry varieties.
